NetSuite's ERP tool takes on Salesforce

Looking to establish itself as a market leader in cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions for enterprises, NetSuite has unveiled NetSuite Unlimited, reports Internet.com.

NetSuit Unlimited is the company's online business suite designed to meet the financial and ERP software needs of the biggest and fastest-growing enterprise-class companies.

The platform was officially unveiled at SuiteWorld, the company's first annual customer event. In a move that brings NetSuite directly into competition with Salesforce for the enterprise cloud customer, the company also detailed a number of new integration partnerships to increase functionality and add social media applications to its ERP suite.

“There is no question that the cloud is big business, and big business needs the cloud,” says Zach Nelson, NetSuite CEO.

“NetSuite Unlimited combines the agility and flexibility of the cloud enjoyed by mid-size businesses with the power of traditional large enterprise systems, allowing the world's largest companies to be more agile and innovative.”

Brent Barbara, M5's VP of client solutions says: “NetSuite is trying to not be like SalesForce in its partner programme - its app exchange programme,” reveals VOIP Planet.

“SalesForce.com probably has thousands of apps on its app exchange. NetSuite is being a lot more selective.

Nearly 10 000 companies globally are using NetSuite OneWorld, which offers professional services automation, e-commerce, ERP, and CRM in the cloud, according to Destination CRM.com.

But NetSuite wants more customers - and it wants them big. In addition, NetSuite will be partnering with Accenture, which has agreed to resell NetSuite's cloud solutions to large enterprises, Nelson said.

To quell fears about NetSuite's ability to manage the high-volume demands of large enterprises, Nelson, in a separate press and analyst meeting, said: “We have 2.2 million logins per quarter. Show me another [company] that has 2.2 million. You can't find them.”
