Bytes, Alliance Human Capital Management partner on delivery of Oracle solutions

Johannesburg, 24 Jan 2012

Bytes Systems Integration and Alliance Human Capital Management have partnered on the delivery of Oracle solutions to mutual and separate customers. They have acknowledged each other as Preferred Partners, client requirement-dependent.

Alliance Human Capital Management, a Platinum level member of Oracle Partner Network (OPN), and Bytes, a Gold level member in OPN, have a broad customer base.

“Together, the two companies see extensive potential for driving greater efficiencies into their combined customer base,” says Greg Frost, the head of Alliance Human Capital Management's SaaS division.

“Our partnership involves two companies with complementary expertise and strategies being able to offer customers a new way to manage aspects of their enterprise,” says Frost.

“Bytes can leverage its expertise with hardware, data centre management and networking; and Alliance Human Capital Management has a proven track record in delivering world-class enterprise resource management systems. The partnership allows for one service level agreement to be managed with either Bytes or Alliance Human Capital Management, providing for all aspects of the solution to be managed on an outsourced basis - hardware procurement and management, network connectivity, system and data management, database support, consulting and day-to-day desktop support.”

Both companies offer a broad range of solutions, which encompass two areas:

1) Solutions that cover business needs, such as ERP, CRM and document management; and
2) Technology covering all aspects of the solutions, from hardware through to operating systems, databases, middleware and software.

“Historically, our focus has been in the area of human capital management (HCM), but our skill set also includes the technology that underpins this solution, including Java development, business process management (BPM), service-oriented architecture (SOA) and database management. We have consultants who specifically focus on Oracle's PeopleSoft applications and have plans to support Oracle Fusion applications.

“We believe Bytes will leverage its expertise in hardware, data centres and connectivity to provide a high-availability environment on which Oracle HCM can operate seamlessly to meet the needs of our customers. From our side, we bring extensive knowledge of outsourcing, consultancy services and project management to the relationship.

“Together, this will result in a one-stop solution for clients - encompassing hardware and software provision, a consultancy team that can implement a turnkey solution, and a joint management team that will manage the ongoing solution with the client, including helpdesk support, ongoing management and maintenance.”

“Our partnership with Alliance Human Capital Management underscores our determination to deliver the best solutions to our clients, through bringing the appropriate skills to bear with the right people,” says Mark Neethling, divisional manager, Bytes Systems Integration. “Alliance Human Capital Management is best of breed in its space, and we look forward to many years of success with them.”

Bytes Systems Integration is part of the Bytes Technology Group, wholly owned by JSE-listed Altron.
