JDS unveils PM add-on

JDS Group, a Sage Silver development partner, has unveiled ProgixPro project management solution integrated with Sage SalesLogix, states eMediaWire.

As an add-on component for Sage SalesLogix, it offers an easy way for all types of companies to track projects and manage resources while working in the familiar environment of SalesLogix.

As a Sage Silver developer, JDS Group designed ProgixPro for companies that use SalesLogix to manage sales opportunities and customer accounts but need better analytical tools, reports, scheduling, and task management features to manage the projects and services they implement after the sale.

HMS receives Gold Certified status

Microsoft has awarded HMS Software, a provider of project management (PM) and enterprise timesheet solutions, Gold Certified status for the fifth consecutive year, says Media Syndicate.

Gold Certified Partners represent the highest level of competence and expertise with Microsoft technologies, and have the closest working relationship with Microsoft.

“HMS Software's relationship with Microsoft stretches back to 1995 when our TimeControl enterprise timesheet system was first linked to Microsoft Project,” says Chris Vandersluis, president of HMS Software. “TimeControl has been through many changes in those 14 years, but the link to Microsoft Project has always remained an integral part of the system.”

Carnegie Mellon, TeamDynamixHE partner

In an effort to facilitate IT project management across its central IT organisation, Computing Services, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) has deployed TeamDynamixHE, a Web-based project and portfolio management (PPM) solution for the higher education market, states Sys-Con Media.

Prior to TeamDynamixHE, Computing Services used a home-grown product that served as a central repository for project requests. The database was cumbersome, difficult to access, and limited in its capabilities. To facilitate project planning, team collaboration and project visibility, the division issued a broad request for proposal for a new PPM solution.

“Ultimately, we selected TeamDynamixHE for its capabilities, user interface, and focus on the higher education market, and because we felt good about working with the company as a partner. Our market is unique, and it takes a company that understands higher education to really appreciate the differences between the corporate world and ours," commented Clay Fulton, PPM project lead at CMU.
