Emergent established as Cordys agent

A new start-up company, Emergent Process Management, has been appointed as the exclusive agent for Cordys technology in Africa.

The company, headed up by Mike Rolfe as MD, went into operation on 1 March this year, and introduced the Cordys solution to a select group of companies in May.

There are no installations in SA yet, but Rolfe says: “Since our introduction of the Cordys product, we have had a response of 42 Blue chip companies who are very interested in acquiring the solution locally”.

He explains that the Cordys solution is not simply a business process management solution, but a business operations platform. Rolfe believes this makes the solution effective for organisations needing complete agility and flexibility.

According to Rolfe, the Cordys solution has shown between 300% and 500% cost efficiencies for companies in other markets and he believes companies will start seeing a return on investment within three months from being implemented.

The Cordys solution is built on a single Java platform on a service-oriented architecture grid, which Rolfe says will bring IT and business closer together for better collaboration.

“Cordys has software-as-a-service compatibility built in, along with the foresight for multi-tenancy to be deployed. As a complete solution, I believe Cordys can take over SAP as a preferred solution in the next couple of years,” he concludes.
