The deadline will soon be closing for nominations for this year's Institute of Information Technology Professionals SA (IITPSA) annual President's Awards, including the prestigious IT Personality and Visionary CIO of the Year Awards.
Now in their 40th year, the IITPSA Annual President's Awards this year include two new awards: a Technology Excellence Award and a Social Responsibility/Community Award.
Nominations are invited for:
* The IT Personality Award, which recognises an outstanding IT professional who has made a significant technical or academic contribution to the industry.
* The Visionary CIO Award, which honours a CIO who has demonstrated visionary leadership in using IT to support, grow and transform business.
* The Technology Excellence Award, which will be presented to a person or team who has made exceptional or innovative use of technology for an organisation.
* Social Responsibility/Community Award, which will be presented to a person, team or project that delivers the benefits of IT on a not-for-profit basis into the community or brings the community into the IT space.
Nominations close on Sunday 9 September at 5pm. A judging panel will select this year's winners. The winners will be named at the IT industry's premier gala event later this year. Those nominating deserving candidates will also be entered into a lucky draw, where they will stand to win two tickets to the awards banquet this year, to be themed: 'The Sky is the Limit'.
