In partnership with Polycom, Kathea will be hosting its annual Visual Communications (VISCOM) event on 16 July.

According to the distributor of visual communications solutions, VISCOM showcases trends in the visual communications industry, highlighting the challenges faced by South African businesses and offering solutions to ensure businesses gain maximum value from their visual and unified communications solutions.

"Visual communications has the potential to provide enormous benefit to businesses of all sizes, but the challenges in adopting these solutions have in the past proven to be an almost insurmountable barrier to entry," says Greg Darke, CEO of Kathea. According to Darke, the VISCOM event will allow Kathea partners, the channel and end-users to understand the value organisations of all sizes can gain from visual communications, as well as how to address adoption challenges. "Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with local and international thought leaders."

The event will feature international and local spokespeople from the unified communications industry, as well as product demonstrations and customer case studies, says Kathea.

VISCOM also serves as a showcase for several innovative new solutions from Kathea and will include a panel discussion with Polycom, World Wide Worx thought leader Arthur Goldstuck, Frost & Sullivan and Microsoft.

"We want to showcase the capabilities of these solutions and how they can enhance business communications, not only by physically demonstrating to users how the technology works, but also by initiating discussion around the industry and the trends, changes and challenges they are experiencing," Darke concludes. "By bringing together thought leaders, experts, channel partners, end-users, products and solutions in one showcase event, we hope to achieve all of this and more. We look forward to meeting you at the event."

VISCOM 2013 takes place on 16 July, from 7am to 5pm, at Summer Place, Johannesburg. To register to attend the event, click here.
