It identified a need to develop a wider range of products and make them available to the smaller and medium-sized credit providers in South Africa. Weavacell is one of these products, and all transacting and collections for the Weavacell product is administered on Xpertek's Acquire loan administration solution.
Waxbill Capital and Xpertek have a long-standing business relationship, and through this latest collaboration, Weavacell provides customers, who find it difficult to enter the credit market, access to a cellular network by means of post-paid contracts or hybrid contracts, entered into on a monthly basis. A subscription agreement is loaded onto Xpertek's Web-based Acquire solution as a 24-month agreement together with the handset details, and the airtime is managed through Acquire Process Manager.
Weavacell is targeting prepaid customers who do not qualify for a conventional contract, whether voice or data, and converting them to post-paid contracts. Customers can be migrated from the prepaid market to the contractual market and all applications can be made through Weavacell's Web site. In essence, converting prepaid cellphone contracts to post-paid brings affordable and readily available mobile communication to a large group of consumers, who lacked this benefit before.
Weavacell customers will save up to 50% in charges and will have access to the latest handsets, which come with a 24-month warranty. For the vast majority of South African cellphone users, Weavacell is simplifying anytime, anywhere communication.
