The National Tender Bulletin delivers an interesting week for the ICT sector, led by matters of skills development and notices from South Africa's road organisations.

The Free State opens this week's bulletin with news from Flavius Mareka TVET College that it’s looking for training for 50 people in technical support, systems development and end-user computing. The State Information Technology Agency however offsets this investment in skills with its announcement that it’s cancelling its tender for introductory cloud training.

Further on into the bulletin is a tender from the Road Traffic Management Corporation, which is looking for the supply of automated number plate recognition system and portable speed measuring apparatus for a period of three years with an option to extend. This is immediately followed by an advertisement from the South African National Roads Agency for the provision of a self-owned national wide area network.

Also worth noting is an announcement from the Department of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation that it is contracting with Gartner SA for ICT research support; as well as news from the National Research Foundation that it has awarded a R150 million ERP system contract to Decision Inc.
