The company, which recently netted the Equipment Supplier of the Year accolade at the 2010 AEO Excellence Awards, says it has invested in seamless LCD panels, touch screens, Microsoft Surfac units, 3D Pyramoid units, a range of HD monitors, laptops and Apple iPads over the past two years.

System-on-chips hits the shelves

Renesas Electronics Corporation, a provider of advanced semi-conductor solutions, has released a system-on-chips (Socs), states Design Reuse.

According to the publication, this system can achieve playback of audio and video data in a single chip for portable audio-visual devices, including portable multimedia players, electronic book readers and network TVs.

The Socs are Emma Mobile EV series products that incorporate the latest ARM Cortex A9 high-performance CPU and integrate on a single chip the functions necessary for MPEG2, MPEG4, and H.264 HDTV video playback.
