Its enhanced capabilities include a 15-inch TFT XGA panel, an integrated DVD-ROM or Combo DVD/CD-Rw and 8-Cell Li-Ion Battery (4000mAh) allowing up to 2.5 hours of battery life, depending on usage.

The NEC Versa C160 features up-to-date connectivity via its built-in modem and LAN, three USB 2.0 ports, and a Firewire IEEE 1394 port for fast connection to digital equipment, providing a reliable and easily manageable platform especially in the education sector.
