Dell today announced that Gartner has recognised it across enterprise product lines. The IT industry analyst firm positioned Dell as a leader in its 2015 Magic Quadrant for Modular Servers, a visionary in the 2015 Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Networking, and gave the company a positive overall rating in its Vendor Rating report.
"We believe this recognition from an esteemed firm like Gartner is confirmation that Dell understands the data centres of the future," said Francois Smith, Enterprise and Field Marketing Manager of Dell South Africa.

Dell positioned as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Modular Servers
As one of the largest providers of x86-based servers in the world, Dell has been positioned as a leader in the Gartner 2015 Magic Quadrant for Modular Servers.

Customers are seeing the benefits of the Dell PowerEdge FX worldwide, such as a large e-commerce company in Asia that purchased more than 10 000 of FX servers over competitive solutions, while an investment management institution headquartered in the US purchased hundreds to help it run its sophisticated data analysis and trading systems to better enable customers.
The Gartner Magic Quadrant for Modular Servers was published as Dell celebrates its 20-year anniversary providing customers its PowerEdge servers. Dell continues to gain unit share and revenue share with customer-inspired innovations such as the PowerEdge FX propelling the company forward. According to Gartner research, Dell currently holds the No. 2 position in the global x86 server market.(1)
Dell Positioned as a visionary in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Networking
Dell's ability to execute and completeness of vision led to its inclusion in the visionaries quadrant of the 2015 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Centre Networking.

Gartner issued a positive overall rating for Dell in its Vendor Rating. Dell's recent transition to a private company and its commitment to broadened and deepened technology, solution and service areas were all positive areas of note.
