Shiona Blundell, divisional manager: communications and business process outsourcing at Bytes Document Solutions Shiona Blundell has more than 17 yearsâ experience in the IT industry, after joining Xerox South Africa as a sales executive in 1994. By 1997, and after winning several monthly and quarterly awards for surpassing sales quotas, she was promoted to strategic account manager in the pharmaceuticals and banking industries. She remained in that role until 1999, and managed revenue targets, churn rate, production erosion, and customer care, and continued winning monthly and quarterly awards. In 1999, she moved into facilities management for vertical industries as a key account executive, and continued winning awards. Between 1997 and 2001, she made the Xerox Honours Club by achieving in excess of 120% of quota every year. Blundell crossed over to Sybase SA in 2001, where she remained until 2006 as the strategic account manager for the telco and media sectors, by which time she was promoted to channel and partner manager, a position she held until 2009. And she racked up more awards and achievements. She was awarded the CEO Award in August 2008 for her outstanding contribution and dedication, tripled growth in revenue the second year of the channel programme, won Sales Person of the Year Award 2006 by making more than 200% of her allotted quota. She was responsible for signing the companyâs largest deal to date in 2006, and developed key relationships within the telco environment and quadrupled the revenue from these accounts. In 2009, Blundell rejoined the Xerox business at the renamed Bytes Document Solutions, this time as GM of Xerox Global Services Outsourcing. She played a key role in assisting the organisation to win two new outsourcing contracts in her first year back. In 2010, she moved into her current position as part of a team dedicated to starting a new division within the organisation looking specifically at software and hosted solutions.
