Wayne Mallinson

Born in 1958, Wayne achieved a first class BSc Honours (Geology) at Rhodes University in 1979 and practised mining geology in Zimbabwe and SA for eight years. He switched careers, going into IT software testing and obtaining a diploma in Datametrics from Unisa. Twelve years of software testing and test integration experience in military and commercial projects followed, during which he was exposed to both real-time scientific and financial applications on mainframe and client-server technologies. He has been involved in the creation of company testing standards and procedures to comply with ISO requirements. He has extensive software lifecycle development experience and also five years of hands-on test automation tool experience. He is editor of Test Focus, a monthly publication covering software testing issues.
