Rabin Ram

MD of the Xerox division at Bytes Document Solutions.

Rabin has been with Bytes Document Solutions for 30 years, having started with Rank Xerox in 1980 as a statistics clerk. He worked for a number of years, as a computer programmer, mainly designing measurement criteria and producing performance measurement reports for the Technical Services division at Xerox. Ram spent 12 years in the Financial Planning and Analysis department after which he assumed responsibility for the Facilities Management division, providing document management solutions to large corporates on an outsourced basis. Prior to being appointed to his current position of divisional MD for the Xerox business, Ram established and led the Xerox Global Services division at Bytes Document Solutions for three years. He has an academic background in both IT and operations research. On a private note, Ram is adept at playing the sarod, a 13th century lute-like instrument used in classical Indian music, on which he performs widely in South Africa and abroad.
