Professor Michael Rotert is president of EuroISPA, the organisation that represents Europe's Internet service provider industry, and will speak at iWeek 2006. His work at the University of Karlsruhe in the 1980s established the first connection from Germany to the Internet. After setting up one of the first ISPs in Germany, he has since held senior management posts with a number of European ISPs. Rotert became president of the German ISP association in 2000 and was elected EuroISPA president in 2003.
