Michael de Andrade has over 10 years of commercial experience, a track record of developing quality software solutions and a wealth of management and leadership experience. De Andrade is ideally positioned to lead EnterpriseWorx, the data management and business intelligence (BI) specialist, as he has a strong background of technical expertise, particularly on Microsoft and open source platforms and extensive Java, Linux and Unix integration knowledge, all in the enterprise arena. He joined EnterpriseWorx in 2004 and, in addition to his duties as MD, De Andrade has been the technical manager of the data management team, BI team, and custom software development team. The custom software development team was responsible for creating a product, RetailWorx, that has been Microsoft-certified. Additionally, while head of infrastructure at EnterpriseWorx, he presided over four years of results-filled information management at executive level. Prior to joining EnterpriseWorx, De Andrade was a senior developer and BI specialist at JD Group for three years from 2001 to 2004. He was both technical specialist and business analyst on a legacy replacement project that implemented a new ERP system. De Andrade was a team leader and computer programmer at Universal Computer Services, in Braamfontein, from 1998 to 2001, before he joined JD Group. His education includes a BSc in computer science/information systems specialising in software engineering, a certificate in computer programming from LUSO Computer Institute, technical certifications that include C, webmaster, Unix SCO scripting, and a Microsoft SQL 2000/2005. He is currently studying towards his masters at Wits.
