Gavin Morrison is MD of Cubic Blue

Gavin Morrison is an IT professional who specialises in business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse architecture, project management, systems development, data integration and data governance. Prior to his position as MD of Cubic Blue, which is a company in the Knowledge Integration Dynamics (KID) group, Morrison was the head of operations at KID. He held the position for five years and was responsible for a team of over 50 consultants and seven managers, as well as many related projects at FNB, Business Connexion, MultiChoice SA and Africa, Macsteel SA, and more. Prior to that, Morrison spent 18 months on contract to JD Edwards in the UK, at one of its clients, CR Bard. He was contracted to head up the BI and data warehouse team for the European JD Edwards implementation. He was previously the European IT manager for a large engineering company in the UK called Advance Hivolt, where he was responsible for all aspects of its ERP and IT systems and architecture across nine different countries. His career began in January 1994, after he completed a programming diploma and worked as a systems developer for Auto and General, Boehringer Ingelheim and Reckitt & Coleman, where he did development on all aspects of BPCS, an ERP system. His numerous roles have resulted in experience in uniting diverse groups of people and teams to achieve common goals, across IT and business, while ensuring governance requirements are met.
