Sangonet is calling for participation in its conference and exhibition scheduled for March next year from companies that can provide case studies, technology solutions and practical applications that could strengthen the impact of civil society organisations (CSOs).

The conference will detail the experiences of CSOs in applying and adopting ICT and will highlight relevant and practical applications that could assist CSOs. There will be a strong focus on free and open source issues and applications.

Approximately 300 people are expected to take part in the event, according to the organisation. These include senior staff members and technical employees in the CSO sector and members of funding agencies, the private sector and government.

According to a statement, the conference programme will include plenary sessions, breakaway and training sessions as well as technology demonstrations.

Companies and individuals who are interested in participating in the event as speakers, trainers or facilitators can register at info@sangonet.org.za. Additional information about exhibition opportunities and logistical arrangements is available from Anelja De Bok.

The conference will be held at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, Johannesburg, from 1 to 3 March 2006.
