IBM introduces SecureStore

IBM has introduced the SecureStore framework, a new way to provide retailers with cost-effective solutions to help reduce the billions of dollars of losses caused each year by physical theft, electronic breaches and violations, says More RFID.

Retailers today in every segment are under tremendous pressure to protect margins amid a "perfect storm" of business risk.

SecureStore delivers a comprehensive framework for protecting against online and physical that can help retailers reduce losses from theft, prevent brand and financial damage from data breaches, and help reduce the cost and complexity of complying with PCI and other regulations.

NCR, Experticity, sign reseller agreement

NCR Corporation has signed a global reseller agreement with Experticity, a provider of live on-screen sales and customer support technologies, states PR USA.

This agreement enables NCR to resell the Experticity multichannel technology platform through its worldwide sales channel.

Experticity technology gives retailers a vehicle for ensuring customers receive face-to-face service when and where they need it. It is the only retail-specific solution that engages shoppers at the point of service with high-quality, live video customer support.

Torex joins HP programme

Torex Retail Holdings, a European-based global provider of software and solutions to the extended retail marketplace, has become one of the first members of the HP Point-of-Service (POS) Solution Ready Programme, reports Market Watch.

The programme makes it easy for retailers to purchase a POS system knowing it has been vendor-tested for smooth integration and ease of use. Verified applications are marked with the HP Point-of-Sale Solution Ready insignia, making it easier for retailers to choose a trusted technology solution.

Torex's POS solutions Torex Retail-J-POS and Torex DRS-POS have been validated through the HP POS Solution Ready Programme using a verification testing process that ensures the software will operate properly with HP POS systems.
