Although the cloud computing trend is gaining popularity, enterprises are still looking for additional trust and visibility before investing in cloud-based services. So says Tap In Systems, a cloud management services company based in the US.

The company has identified the growing need for enterprises to achieve as much control of the cloud as they have over their own centres. With this in mind, Tap In Systems has begun companies on how they can achieve a deeper level of monitoring in the cloud without losing critical monitoring functionality.

Web applications in the cloud present a new set of monitoring and management challenges, since they constantly change, resulting in a higher likelihood of new problems being introduced into what is already a dynamic environment, says Tap In Systems.

The company predicts customers will demand and specify the level of control over cloud applications, not the cloud vendors.

Monitoring the changes and knowing which change resulted in what improvement (or degradation) to applications is a huge challenge and a complicated process.

Tap In Systems advises companies to seek comprehensive enterprise level monitoring in the form of a holistic and accurate system view for multiple cloud computing and on-premise environments.
