Computer Configuration Holdings has posted its first set of interim results since its March transfer to the cash companies sector of the JSE.

Operating profit of R9.2 million from a turnover of R370.6 million was reported for the six months to December 2000.

The group reached the halfway mark with an after-tax operating profit of R40.6 million, compared to the R40.9 million reported for the comparable period.

Headline earnings per share of 4.2c were turned in, compared to 41.3c for the 1999 period.

CCH met all the outstanding conditions for the disposal of its business to MGX in March after which time its listing was transferred to the cash companies sector of the JSE.

MGX will close its books on 30 June and report its first final results, including the businesses of CCH, around 14 August.
