Dimension Data yesterday announced it is to acquire In Time Netbuilding (ITN), a network and voice integration company headquartered in Amsterdam.
DiData will pay between 5 million and 13 million euros for the company, depending on the achievement of revenue and profit targets by September next year.
The company owns other networking businesses in the Netherlands and says the new acquisition is aimed at complementing these as it accelerates into services.
The head of ITN, John van der Velden, has been appointed GM of the combined Dutch businesses.
"Apart from improving our delivery capability in the Netherlands, ITN will allow DiData to expand its offering in voice communications and particularly in OSS [operational support systems] solutions to service providers," says Don Smyth, a senior VP with DiData Europe.
The deal is also to provide DiData with expertise in the areas of voice integration and OSS required for its i-BOSS solution in Benelux, France and the Netherlands.
Analysts say the acquisition was responsible for a slight improvement of 55c in the DiData share price yesterday. They believe investors are showing renewed confidence in the company as it has proven that it still has the necessary cash resources to pursue its acquisition strategy.
