Ixchange`s US subsidiary, FrontRange Solutions, has appointed a CEO to replace Dana Buys.
Patrick Bultema has been named to succeed Buys, who remains chairman of FrontRange and CEO of Ixchange.
Bultema, who was chairman and GM of the Help Desk Institute until 1996, is to join the Ixchange board on 1 December.
For several years he has served on several software company boards and has consulted to venture capital firms and hi-tech companies, including Fujitsu, HP, Intel, Logitech and NEC.
"We have now attainted the objectives of my tenure as CEO at FrontRange - to build a strong executive team and complete the merger of Bendata and GoldMine into one globally competitive software company," says Buys.
"We remain on track to realise our financial, expansion and product objectives by the end of June 2002, to conserve cash, embrace a sense of urgency and purpose, and achieve extraordinary customer intimacy."
He says FrontRange was looking for a top-flight businessman with strong US industry ties, leadership and team-building qualities. FrontRange has worked with Bultema for some time and Buys says he is confident that he will lead the company to a profitable future.
Ixchange recently announced its plans to focus solely on the customer relationship management market and to dispose of the Ability and Incubator divisions, leaving FrontRange Solutions as its only operating subsidiary.
It plans to change its name from Ixchange to FrontRange Solutions early next month.
