With the Cricket World Cup project over, Stella Vista's interim results are expected to show a dip.
Last year the project helped Stella Vista post an interim net profit of R1.29 million after tax compared with a prior-year loss of R2.62 million. Headline earnings of 0.92c a share compared with a loss of 1.87c a share previously.
Although the group incurred an after-tax loss of R2.48 million for the full year to August, this was a huge improvement on the previous year's R7.57 million loss.
The Cricket World Cup project involved a contract to deliver the official cricket scoring software, software for scoring and statistics display, and electronic scoreboards, among other things.
However, with the project having come to an end, the group says in a trading statement that its results for the six months to 29 February will be substantially lower than those of the same period the previous year.
This is defined by JSE rules as being a difference of more than 30%.
The company says the results are due for release on 1 April.
