Intervid non-executive director James Howard, one of the central figures in a boardroom coup at the troubled group earlier this year, has quit.
The group has not disclosed the reasons for the resignation, saying only that it takes effect immediately.
Earlier this year the Howard family, formerly major shareholders in the group, staged a shareholder revolt aimed at removing chairman Bill Lambert from his post.
Lambert and various other directors resigned at a shareholder meeting called to vote on the matter and the Howard family`s nominees were appointed to the board.
However, the nominees resigned within a week and the coup was reversed, with the former board being reappointed.
Shareholder VenFin announced last month that it had agreed to purchase the Howard family`s stake in the company. At the same time James Howard, formerly an executive director, left Intervid`s employ, with his status changing to that of non-executive.
