Lorge provides Accpac financial software solution to Tshikululu CSI management agency

Tshikululu Social Investments, a specialist corporate social investment management agency, has contracted mid-market ERP solutions provider Lorge to supply and install an accounting and financial software solution at its Johannesburg offices.

Tshikululu is contracted to corporate and trust clients - including Anglo American, Discovery, De Beers Consolidated Mines, the FirstRand Group and the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust - to assist in the planning, implementation and management of social investment strategy, among other services.

"The solution that best meets Tshikululu's specific needs is Accpac ERP 200 financial software, which we have set up and tailored to fit the agency's operational environment," says Lorge managing consultant, Martin van Blerk.

General ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashbook form the core of the solution, with the possibility for integration to other project-tracking systems used by the organisation.

"Our development roots run deep and our team is made up of dedicated professionals who have considerable field experience in the field, going back 30 years," says Tshikululu financial manager, Richard Henson.

"The system implemented by Lorge will assist us in important aspects of the integrated management and enhanced reporting of the Trust Finances as part of developing appropriate programmes, and in directing grants ranging from a few thousand rand to several million rand in support of effective social organisations and projects."

Projects range from support for emergent community groups initiating small scale income-generation projects and established non-governmental organisations running national programmes, to major building schemes at schools, universities, hospitals and welfare institutions.
