Simac Software has announced three new system administration tools for Windows NT Server networks. They are the free tool UserManagemeNT Lite, for creating new NT users in seconds; the migration tool UserManagemeNT Import; and version 3.0 of the all-in-one NT administration tool Network ServaNT. The free UserManagement Lite allows an NT system administrator to create a new NT user in seconds. The administrator only has to fill in the full name of the new user, select a home server and a user template and press Apply.
UserManagemeNT Lite automatically creates usernames and full names (more than 50 algorithms are supported), passwords, home directories and shares with the proper security settings, group memberships and Exchange mailboxes. Scripts and batch files can be executed after pressing the Apply button, to enable updating of, for example, the Human Resource database.
UserManagemeNT Import
Instead of creating new NT users one by one via UserManagemeNT Lite, UserManagemeNT Import can be used for importing hundreds of new users into any NT network. UserManagemeNT Import only needs a file with the users` full names to create new usernames, (random) passwords, home directories and shares, Exchange mailboxes and more. UserManagemeNT Import can be used for migration to NT, NT domain reconfiguration, migration to Exchange or setting up a new file & print server.
Network ServaNT 3.0
Network ServaNT integrates User Manager for Domains, Server Manager, File Manager and the Event Viewer into one tool. Network ServaNT adds features not included in the Windows NT management tools, such as printing and exporting. The new 3.0 release can manage user rights and open files, synchronise domains, view disk space for all NT servers and workstations and edit users` login scripts. Network ServaNT 3.0 is integrated with UserManagemeNT Lite and Import.
