Multimatics has announced that Xtel Outsourced is now managing over half a billion rand worth of telecoms spend per annum. The company provides telephone management systems and cost containment for organisations using Xtel, a fully scaleable telephone management system that operates in both single site and large multi-site environments.
Xtel has been designed to assist clients on two levels: cutting costs on telecoms thus increasing productivity. The system issues call centre reports which highlight problematic areas such as bottlenecks and identify the correct staffing requirements suited to the organisation. Says Steven Brown, MD at Multimatics, "people wouldn`t believe what the hidden costs in a company can add up to. By having systems in place to manage telecoms, these costs are properly managed".
By installing Xtel, a company is able to reap benefits such as private number predictors - the system learns and stores information about the company`s telephone call patterns. It takes into account call durations, dialled number frequencies and other factors. Then, using a series of intricate algorithms, it is able to predict private telephone numbers. These are rated from highly likely to possible and are ordered as such.
Xtel boasts various other features and by-products. Xtel appeals to companies because of the outsourcing option - allowing them to focus on their core business, whilst the TMS is being expertly managed. "We are able to provide rate comparisons against all LCR operators - and that includes VOIP and the second national operator (SNO). Client and customer billing, as well as the accuracy of the telecoms data is guaranteed", says Brown.
Xtel can be used solely as a telephone call record processor (CDR). The CDR processor can process data to virtually any type of database. "Some of our clients are processing data into Lotus notes, Informix and SQL", says Brown. For example, Xtel is being used to process calls to SAP for private call re-reimbursements, calls can be processed to the company Intranet and Crystal can be used to generate the reports. "Xtel can be tailor made to suit the needs of the client", he says.
Xtel-Report Manager produces extremely powerful telephone reports. Features the likes of automatic private number detection and LCR savings reports. Should it be required, Xtel can provide an extension summary report which contains several reports per person on one page.
Xtel-Web is a Web interface that can adapt to fit virtually any telephone management system on the market. It will allow each user in the company to access their call record information via their Web browser. Xtel-Web can be hosted on the client`s Intranet or can be hosted off site on the Internet. Users and managers can access call reports, allowing them all the required information at their fingertips.
"Multimatics is a solution provider", comments Brown. "We do more than sell a product, we aim to assist our clients with their telephone management systems and ultimately to favourably affect their bottom line. By using employee awareness programmes supported with solid change management practices, we strongly believe that Xtel can assist any company to turn around their telecoms costs".
Since inception in 1990, Multimatics has enabled thousands of companies throughout SA to reduce their monthly telephone costs by as much as 50%, while simultaneously increasing their productivity, efficiency and customer service levels.
Multimatics currently services three major banks, government departments, motor and insurance companies as well as offering a four hour service level agreement anywhere in the country.
