3Com announces new service programmes to reward channel partners

3Com Global Services has introduced two new worldwide service authorisation programmes, designed to reward and recognise 3Com Focus channel partners` commitment to service excellence.

The Authorised 3Com Service Delivery Programme is designed to reward those channel partners who provide their own services to support 3Com network products. This programme is open to all 3Com Gold and Silver level Focus partners as well as to 3Com Bronze level partners with NBX Voice Authorisation.

The Authorised 3Com Service Reseller Programme benefits 3Com channel partners who resell 3Com service offerings. This programme is available to all Gold, Silver and Bronze partners registered in 3Com`s Focus Programme - a well-established channel partner programme to help partners deliver superior solutions to customers.

"Through these new service programmes, channel partners can increase their support relationship with 3Com, grow their service business and reap benefits that include additional discounts, 3Com Web site listings, sales leads and access to exclusive programme resources," comments Debbie Hunter, channel manager of 3Com SA.

Authorised 3Com Service Delivery Programme

The Authorised 3Com Service Delivery Programme recognises and rewards 3Com partners that demonstrate proficiency in providing services on 3Com products. The following are highlights of the flexibility, business benefits and requirements of this programme:

* Flexible features - A flexible programme that allows permit partners to seek Authorised 3Com Service Delivery status in all 3Com technology specialisations or in a subset of 3Com technology specialisations. Partners can choose the geographic area for which they seek authorisation. Authorised 3Com Service Delivery Partners may elect to resell 3Com services as it fits their business model.

* Business benefits - Authorised 3Com Service Delivery Partners can take advantage of the opportunity to publish their service profile on the 3Com Web site to generate end-user demand and increase sales.

Additional discounts on end-user service, training and professional services increase profit margins, access to 3Com Partner Express Back-up Service, a designated technical escalation advocate, and access to internal technical solutions and updates are designed to increase productivity and reduce costs. Quarterly 3Com Service Council Meetings expand the partners` relationship with 3Com Global Services.

* Requirements - Requirements for 3Com Authorised Service Delivery Partner Programme participation include 3Com Gold or Silver Focus Programme status, the ability to meet specified service delivery criteria, technical training through 3Com University, and the purchase of backup support services for specified products. Interested partners can apply online using the enrolment and capabilities self-audit form at http://pa.3com.com/secure/global/AuthSvcDel.nsf.

Authorised 3Com Service Reseller Programme

The Authorised 3Com Service Reseller Programme rewards and recognises 3Com partners that demonstrate commitment to selling 3Com maintenance and professional services. The programme provides these partners with important demand creation and margin benefits.

* Sales benefits - Selling 3Com services permits partners to speed up the adoption of new technologies, enhance the customer experience, reduce costs and eliminate risk. Authorised 3Com Service Reseller Programme benefits include additional discounts on all purchases of 3Com end-user services, training, and professional services, 3Com Web site listing, sales leads, access to Authorised 3Com Service Reseller resources, and use of the 3Com Global Services logo.

* Requirements - Requirements for Authorised Service Reseller Programme include 3Com Gold, Silver, or Bronze Focus Programme status, sales training, minimum attach and renewal rates, and a signed agreement. The agreement is posted on the Partner Access Web site for download and review.
