The 3Com Megahertz 10 Mbps LAN CF+ Card is a matchbook-sized adapter that provides handheld PC users with direct access to enterprise applications and the Internet - replacing the slow and complicated serial connections of the past.
Many mobile professionals now enjoy the portability and simplicity of handheld PCs, but face technology limitations when trying to access e-mail or the Internet with a Windows CE systems, explains 3Com SA`s product marketing manager, Gavin Levin. Designed to address the special requirements of Windows CE systems, 3Com`s CF+ solution uses special power management features to conserve the valuable battery life of handheld PCs. Unlike similar products currently available, the 3Com card uses a mere 31 milliamps at full power. Users can reserve additional power by simply removing the cable or turning the card off with software included in the package.
