3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4900 wins 2002 Product of The Year Award in China

3Com Corporation has announced that the 3Com SuperStack 3 Switch 4900 won the "2002 Product of The Year" Award from PC World China. It is the only switching product to have won the award.

Ruihua Lin, editor-in-chief of PC World China, said: "Despite the depressing market situation, product innovation and technology advancement have not slowed down in 2002. A number of excellent products have been launched this year that we hope indicates good signs of market recovery in the near future."

Lin commented further: "Gigabit Ethernet switches are one of the most competitive and popular products in the networking industry in 2002. Organised by PC World China, the "Product of the Year" award is one of the most prestigious awards in the Chinese IT industry. All nominated products were evaluated and tested at PC World China`s testing laboratory and based on these findings, plus thorough consultation with the editorial team, PC World China made its final selections of the most outstanding products.
