3fifteen, the Microsoft applications solutions division of Dimension Data South Africa, not only has significant Microsoft skills, that allow it to deliver innovative Microsoft-based business solutions that meet its customers` specifications -it has the certification from Microsoft to prove it.
3fifteen recently became one of the first Microsoft partners in SA to achieve Microsoft Gold Partner status in two competencies: Integrated E-Business Solutions and Information Worker Solutions, meeting the rigorous new conditions introduced last year as part of the global software vendor`s revamped partner certification programme.
According to James Baber, MD of 3fifteen, the new requirements for Gold Partner status now go beyond having specific in-house, up-to-date Microsoft technical skills and certifications- although this remains critically important.
"The certification process places significant emphasis on proven delivery and customer satisfaction. 3fifteen had to prove that we could translate our technical skills into business applications that really do deliver in the real world.
"This involves examination of reference sites as well as a detailed customer satisfaction survey carried out with customers. In other words, 3fifteen couldn`t just claim to have the skills to deliver Microsoft-based integrated e-business solutions and information worker solutions, we actually had to have working proof of our competency in these specialised fields," he explains.
Baber says 3fifteen`s service delivery is further strengthened by the fact that its partnership status affords it direct access to Microsoft`s own in-house technical services.
"Having undergone the complexity of the certification process, we believe it is a significant improvement on the previous system. It allows customers to identify appropriate service providers faster and more accurately, and with a guaranteed level of competency," concludes Baber.
3fifteen is a Microsoft applications solutions development company in which Dimension Data - through Protocol - has taken a 45% strategic investment. The company - headquartered at The Campus - represents the Microsoft applications solutions offering in the Dimension Data SA stable.
