3fifteen, the Microsoft applications solutions division in the Dimension Data group, has successfully completed the upgrade of the AngloGold Ashanti Web site.
AngloGold Ashanti, one of the world`s largest gold producers, is listed on the securities exchanges in Johannesburg, Accra, New York and Sydney as well as the London Stock Exchange, Euronext Paris and Euronext Brussels.
3fifteen utilised the Microsoft .Net solutions platform to develop the site because .Net provides a single infrastructure that facilitates the rapid creation, deployment and management of external and internal facing portals.
According to Karl Schoemaker at AngloGold Ashanti, the company needed a Web site that was friendly, quick to navigate as well as meeting the individual requirements of the user community, while still reflecting the AngloGold Ashanti character and values as a gold company.
