PQ Networks has announced that it will be offering the entire range of Galaxy videoconferencing systems, the latest development by VTEL, to the South African public at an affordable price for the first time.
PQ Networks, the sole distributor of VTEL`s videoconferencing range in South Africa, will be making Galaxy`s products available to the public as of middle December 1999. Galaxy systems are equipped with Vtouch, a revolutionary, Windows-based user interface controlled with a unique, ergonomically designed remote control. The system allows the user to conduct a video call presentation, while operating the system with the touch of a button.
"For years, videoconferencing has remained just beyond the reach of the mass market. VTEL`s new Galaxy lineup is designed to be used by anyone, anywhere. To develop the Galaxy interface, VTEL engineers and designers studied the way customers used existing videoconferencing systems and gathered input and ideas for improvement from experienced as well as novice end users. Whether the customer is a small business or a large corporate, VTEL`s Galaxy range facilitates the communication needs of organisations. According to test groups this has been accomplished," comments Morkel.
