A Java certification opportunity

Johannesburg, 12 Nov 2001

Java certification is one of the key requirements being sought by many IT organisations, and individuals with the necessary background experience are being encouraged to pursue the attainment of this additional qualification.

One of the local companies able to offer a Java certification program that includes an independent examination and is internationally recognised, is Borland Southern Africa, a leading software vendor that is ideally suited to providing appropriate certification courses.

The three courses on offer all allow for certification: Beginner to Advanced:

  • .         Java Application Development
  • .         J2EE Application Development
  • .         CORBA for Java.
  • "Borland is a market leader in the provision of an Integrated Development Environment (IDE)," commented Manoli Rodokanakis, Country Manager for Borland Southern Africa. "Thus our products are ideally suited as a means to achieve Java certification. Additionally, Java certified individuals, who have qualified through the use of Borland`s products, seem to be more productive Java developers and thus highly marketable," continued Rodokanakis.
