A new `Path` to information sharing

Johannesburg, 29 Oct 2003

`CreditEase Offline Call Centre` drives an `InfoPath` to market with Microsoft EMEA as one of the 25 partners worldwide and the only one from SA that participated in the (JDP) Joint Development Program for the new Office 2003 and XDocs Beta program

K'e Concepts is the only Microsoft partner in SA that has taken part in a joint development venture with Microsoft for the 2003 release of Microsoft Office with InfoPath 2003.

The goal of the JDP was to generate quality reference wins and drive broad awareness, adoption and Office 2003 product pull-through for Microsoft-based independent solution vendors.

The development capabilities of "Office 2003" give K'e Concepts the ability to create connected applications: "Office 2003" enables developers to build applications that leverage Extensible Markup Language (XML) and XML Web services to allow information workers using Office to easily interact with enterprise wide business processes and data as well as back-office applications and databases through the familiar interface of Microsoft Office.

With "Office 2003", the XML support in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access has been expanded and XML support has been added to Microsoft Word. In addition, developers can now easily integrate XML Web services across all Office applications.

K'e Concepts has chosen to focus its knowledge and resources on creating customer driven functionality for its clients in the financial services sector, particularly in the management of the application process and outgoing calls for failed collections using Microsoft`s new InfoPath 2003 tools.

But what does all of this mean practically for the consumer? Gareth Jane, Development Director from K'e Concepts, explains: "Financial services organisation can achieve substantial productivity improvements by automating their manual application processing and their offline call centre functions."

Further, "With CreditEase`s Application Originator and Offline/Online Call Centre Tools a large amount of hands-on work involved in collections and account management can be replaced by forms-based data capturing integrated into powerful automated business processes, providing capacity and improved performance all with offline capability so the customers aren`t kept waiting."

K'e Concepts implemented its Offline Call Centre solution at Real People combining BizTalk Server 2004 and InfoPath 2003. CreditEase integrates enterprise applications and automates business processes offering easy-to-use electronic forms for effective information gathering. The solution has the functionality to both retrieve and process data from Web services.

CreditEase provides real people with a solution that is reliable and scalable for future requirements. Benefits from the new infrastructure include higher productivity, better management reporting, better use of the company`s knowledge resources, and efficient execution of business processes.

The familiar user interface of CreditEase and Microsoft Office, coupled with existing in-house IT skills, means user training and support are minimal, enabling considerable cost savings.

Through the rapid automation of complex business processes in BizTalk Server 2004, processes have been streamlined and accelerated. The cumbersome hands-on work involved in collection and account management is replaced by a flexible, robust forms-based data capture system.

These processes may also be implemented in an offline environment, which offers K'e`s clients flexibility and power not previously possible in a disconnected environment. Since complex regulatory requirements and general business process rules are built in using BizTalk Server 2004, a number of elements which were previously manual have now been automated.
