Local black empowered company Abnoba has once again qualified for the 2005 Emerging Technology Top 100 (TT100) Awards. This prestigious award caters for organisations that are in their early phases, under three years in operation, and focuses primarily on the business application of technology. This is the second consecutive year Abnoba has been awarded with this prestigious recognition.
The TT100 Awards Programme is one of the foremost business awards programmes in SA addressing large, medium and small enterprises, as well as technology organisations such as science councils and universities. It focuses on recognising and rewarding the use of technology and innovation in a business context.
The category of Emerging Technology Top 100 Enterprise was introduced to allow for recognition of enterprises which are highly innovative and display great technology potential, but which have not yet had sufficient time to demonstrate their long-term sustainability.
Abnoba is a consultative solutions company focusing on business process automation and management. It provides business solutions that improve productivity and reduce operational costs in both the government and private sectors. The company`s clients include many national South African companies and locally represented international corporations.
"To be recognised as an ambassador of SA`s technology excellence is a privilege," says Fairoz Jaffer, CEO of Abnoba. "From our early beginnings in 2002, we have quickly become a key player in the market and have completed many successful projects, shown capability and built credibility in the market. It is an honour to have these achievements recognised in the Emerging Technology Top 100."
Since 1994, TT100 has had the strong support of both government and the private sector. The programme is operated under a mandate from the Department of Science and Technology, and Eskom, as the major non-government sponsor. TT100 is a division of Da Vinci Enterprises.
