Absa Bank Limited, one of Africa`s largest banking groups, has scored a first on the continent, by implementing the TRIAD customer management system.
The TRIAD customer management system, from Fair, Isaac, has become the de facto standard for banks in Europe, North America, Latin America and Asia-Pacific. PIC Solutions was chosen to assist with this groundbreaking project, which is a first for the South African banking industry.
Ten South African consumer credit grantors now utilise the TRIAD system, which provides sophisticated risk management functionality, including modules for behaviour scoring and Champion-Challenger strategy testing. Where the Absa implementation is unique is that portfolio management will be at a customer level rather than an account level. This means that Absa will now be empowered to make strategic decisions on marketing, credit facilities and collections on a one-to-one customer basis.
With the impressive results achieved by over 150 TRIAD users worldwide, Absa Bank was keen to realise the major benefits improved customer management strategies would bring. To assist in this process, PIC Solutions personnel were retained to work closely with the Absa credit risk team to ensure that the implementation occurred on time.
PIC Solutions personnel have now been involved in the successful implementation of every TRIAD system in SA, as well as implementations across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
