DST Global Solutions has announced that Absa Life, a member of the Barclays Group, has become the first company in the world to utilise the new Version 3.4 release of DST Global Solutions' BPM software, AWD. The software has been implemented to support Absa Life's new outcome-based remuneration (OBR) application, which went live on 2 November 2009.
Collaborating with Value Consulting, and working closely with Schoeman Rudman, Chief Consultant to Absa Life, the implementation team started in June 2009 and was able to launch the pilot in less than four months. The implementation will be rolled out fully to the business within six months.
Schoeman Rudman commented: “In order for Absa Life to achieve some of their strategic goals and the OBR initiative specifically, it was vital for us to identify the most suitable BPM tool currently available. We needed to identify a tool that would help enable Absa Life to increase efficiencies to provide at least 30% more output in their operational environment.”
Schoeman Rudman continued: “After a brief evaluation period, we believed that DST Global Solutions' AWD software would provide us with the capabilities of achieving these objectives. Thus we chose to work with DST Global Solutions to help us integrate their AWD software into the overall implementation of the OBR project.”
