Pro Solutions is proud to announce the completion of ABSA Technology Finance Solutions (ATFS) interface with the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing program.
"When Barclays bought a majority stake with SA's leading consumer bank, ABSA Group, they had to ensure that their assets were governed to their standards. This meant that all transactions had to be monitored and standardised in a way that caters for the international community and the protection of their clients," says Grant Hart, Director at Pro Solutions.
Hart continues: "The CASA project is aimed at enabling business units to screen and profile potential and existing customers by establishing an infrastructure suitable for providing the particular service required. The profiling of the customers will be in line with the group's policies and also forms a component of the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing program."
It was now the duty of ATFS to be committed in complying with national and international laws, rules, regulations and policies regarding the combating of criminal activities, money laundering and terrorist financing. All participants would undergo a screening and profiling during processing of their applications.
iCon was the product chosen to fulfil the necessary requirements to integrate into the current systems seamlessly. iCon could integrate into the present multi-valued databases at ATFS while extracting CASA data to produce the information in a suitable structure that ATFS understood.
