ASYST International SA, distributor of Access Accounts in southern Africa, today announced the availability of a new release of the flagship product of Access Accounts, Dimensions 2.30a.
One of the major new features of this release is a new interface, which will see the introduction of a tree view. If the user so wishes, they can also navigate the application using the pull-down menus.
Other enhancements include:
* The Access Crystal Reports feature that includes over 140 Crystal Reports. These reports can be modified and additional reports can be added to the menu, making all reports easily accessible.
* A new Pop-Up lists capability, that allows lists to be set to automatically pop-up with data as soon as a record screen is entered, thus providing quicker and easier access to user records.
* A new Data Creation Wizard that `walks` a user through the creation of a data set, allowing for instance, the creation of a new data file with a full chart of accounts with just 10 clicks of the mouse.
* A new report called The Auditors Report, which has been added to the Nominal Ledger, which can be used in conjunction with the PROcap and IRIS applications that are used by accountants and auditors in the production of statutory accounts.
* The capability of e-mailing multiple documents, which could be used as the default delivery method for relevant documents.
* The ability to e-mail ACD documents. This applies to both single and multiple documents of which purchase orders, copy invoices and statements printed from credit control are examples of the former.

The Dimensions product (running off either a Microsoft SQL or Oracle database) already includes functionality that does not exist outside of Access Accounts. Examples of this include an Executive Desktop for data analysis, .NET facilities, VBA add-ins for Microsoft Office and system-wide XML capabilities.
