ASYST International SA, the sole Southern African distributor for UK-based Access Accounts, a leading accounts and business software author, today announced that the latter has announced a lb1.3 million increase in turnover for the financial year ending June 2004.
This represents growth of more than 24% on the previous year and takes the company`s annual turnover to lb6.5 million. Additionally, profit before tax was up 16%.
"One of the major reasons for this success is a substantial increase in new sales of SQL Server-based accounting software," commented Paul Marketos, Managing Director of ASYST International SA. "Dimensions Lite, which uses Microsoft`s free SQL Server database (MSDE) to help reduce costs, has performed particularly strongly.
"Access Accounts software is sold exclusively through an accredited channel and Access Accounts partners have enjoyed similar results, including ourselves," continued Marketos. "Focusing on SQL solutions has led to a small reduction in the number of resellers, but those embracing SQL have seen their turnover climb with 68% of resellers having reported growth of 20% or more."
ASYST International SA has a significant base of Access Accounts users in both SA and Kenya.
