ASYST International, the sole distributor for Access Accounting in southern Africa, today announced that Access Accounting, a leading UK-based accounting and business software developer, had acquired its Dublin-based Irish reseller.
The new company, Access Accounting Ireland Ltd, becomes part of an aggressive expansion plan that is intended to triple the scale of the Irish operation over a two-year period by focusing on the mid-market sector.
For the Access group, this latest purchase is part of a series of strategic acquisitions planned to broaden its position, particularly in the UK and Irish markets, and expand its existing customer base of more than 10 000 clients. Last year, Access successfully acquired PumaSoft, an ERP and MRPII developer and, as a result, now offers fully integrated supply chain management solutions to manufacturing and distribution companies. Access is one of a handful of developers in the world to have been awarded the Microsoft Gold Partner accreditation. It develops its products using leading Microsoft technologies.
