Asyst International SA, the sole South African distributor for Access Accounting Ltd, today announced the introduction of Access FoundationsXP.
This new release is intended as a low-cost entry-level product for the accounting software market and is a direct response to the requests from many chartered accountants for such a package.
"The new product, has more functionality and is easier to use than many of its direct competitors," commented Paul Marketos, Managing Director of Asyst International SA. "We believe that Access Accounts is currently one of the leaders in the mid-range e-commerce financials market, and we are confident that we have the potential to penetrate the entry-level organisation in a similar way.
"FoundationsXP improves the users experience when performing everyday book keeping tasks. It provides two-way integration with Microsoft OfficeXP in Excel, Word and Project. Full integration between all the modules, including Project Costing, makes information more accessible for fast enquiries and at audit time. This solution integrates with virtually any third party application including BASDA e-BIS and the Internet," continued Marketos.
Unlike most of its competitors, FoundationsXP introduces true multi-currency accounting, which is already in use by many thousands of Access customers who benefit from the timesaving this automation provides. Starting at just R5 200 plus VAT for a fully integrated accounting system, FoundationsXP offers a range of low cost bundles of software plus a seamless upgrade to a mid-range package and upwards again to a full client/server solution. An identical user interface throughout the entire range of solutions eliminates the complication of transferring data and reduces the need and costs of re-training users as the company grows.
As with all new products launched by Access, existing Foundations users with a valid licence can upgrade to the XP version free of charge. FoundationsXP is compatible with all 32-bit Windows operating systems from Windows 95 upwards.
Access Accounts Ltd was formed in 1991 to bring the benefits of Windows to accounting software. Its software is in use today by over 10 000 companies worldwide.

Access Accounts offers a complete range of Windows 2000 and PowerPC, Web-enabled financial management and accounting software that scales to suit your size of business and your budget.
