Accpac ERP 5.4 debuts at Insights 2006

Johannesburg, 18 May 2006

At Insights 2006, its annual business partner conference, Sage Software showcased its broad selection of new products, major upgrades and services for small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) and organisations.

The breadth of products introduced, underscores the strength of Sage internationally and of its local subsidiary Softline. Insights 2006 confirmed that the group offers the broadest range of business management solutions for SMBs from a single vendor, providing businesses with integrated applications, choice in their technology options, and the ability to migrate to more advanced software products as their businesses grow.

Jeremy Waterman, MD of Softline ACCPAC, comments: "Small and mid-sized businesses have different needs throughout their growth cycles, so they rely on their business solutions partners to provide software and services that map to their growth requirements. Our focus on the needs of small and mid-sized businesses for the past 30 years has helped us to provide the end-to-end solutions they require to manage effectively for today and throughout their growth."

He says the new products and services featured at Insights 2006 focus on creating integrated end-to-end business management solutions for SMBs.

Softline ACCPAC'S latest offering, Accpac ERP 5.4, was one of the featured products. For mid-sized businesses, Accpac ERP 5.4 focuses on significantly enhancing user productivity. It will include a new RMA module and 300 user-requested new features supporting operational efficiency, greater data security, and more process flexibility.

Another highlight at Insights 2006 was Accpac WMS 5.0. Launched in March this year, it features warehouse automation capabilities available via optional modules, giving customers freedom to build customised warehouse automation systems "a la carte" with significant cost savings.
