ACCPAC introduces Web, wireless CRM for the mid-market

Johannesburg, 22 May 2001

ACCPAC International, Inc, a division of the interBiz group of Computer Associates, has announced the release of a complete Internet and wireless-based customer relationship management (CRM) solution. ACCPAC eCRM offers sales force, marketing, call centre and customer care automation through a Web browser or wireless application protocol (WAP)-enabled device, and is fully integrated with the ACCPAC Advantage Series back-office solution set.

"As Internet and wireless communications continue to shape the ways in which mid-market enterprises compete, customers are increasingly looking for innovative and cost-efficient ways to connect all of their vital business functions," says Jeremy Waterman, managing director of ACCPAC Africa. "The release of ACCPAC eCRM coupled with ACCPAC eTransact, our Web store solution, plus our advanced accounting and warehouse management solutions, places end-to-end e-business within the reach of mid-market companies."

Designed specifically for the e-business, ACCPAC eCRM employs a thin-client architecture. It may be deployed over the Internet and wireless devices, enabling companies to manage customer, partner and prospect interactions anywhere and at anytime via phone, e-mail, the Web, fax or WAP-enabled handheld devices. The system also includes an integrated workflow engine allowing companies to implement "rules-based" information processing and dissemination throughout their organisation.

ACCPAC eCRM enables sales executives to devote more time in the field with staff and potential clients. Sales team leaders can easily direct up-to-the-minute opportunity management activities from remote locations including sales cycle analysis, territory alignment, call list assembly and proposal generation. In addition, inside and field-based sales representatives are empowered with "anytime, anywhere" access to up-to-the-minute customer, partner and prospect information.

Customer care specialists can use ACCPAC eCRM call logging, tracking, escalation and resolution management functions to enhance service levels and overall customer satisfaction. The call centre can be further enhanced with an ACCPAC eCRM Computer Telephony Integration (CTI) option.

Marketing executives using the new integrated solution can manage the complete marketing campaign process. Automated processes for lead qualification and prioritisation, distribution, routing, sales tracking and project reporting contribute to more knowledgeable and efficient marketing operations.

"Whether you're a sales manager, a field-based service technician or a customer care representative, all of your business-critical information can now be stored, viewed and accessed within moments through a single portal-including all related financial and sales information," concludes Waterman.

Companies can deploy ACCPAC eCRM internally or obtain it through ACCPAC Online (www.accpaconline.com) as a hosted service. It is available through authorised ACCPAC Solution Providers. For more information or to locate an ACCPAC Solution Provider, call ACCPAC Africa on (011) 803 7327
