ACCPAC, Multisoft team up to provide accounting software solution in Nigeria

AccpacAfrica, a leading accounting and business management software group based in SA, in collaboration with its partner Multisoft_Consulting, Nigeria, hope to conquer the Nigerian market and make Accpac accounting software the number one business management package.

Alan Ware, AccpacAfrica's Technical Manager, made this statement during a recent visit to Nigeria to launch a new accounting software package called "Accpac Simply Accounting". According to Ware, the package is an accounting solution for small businesses. It is meant for the small office, home office (SOHO) market and requires little or no accounting knowledge to use it.

Ware, who described the CEO of Multisoft_Consulting Nigeria, Felix T Tuoyo, as very hardworking, expressed great satisfaction at their partnership and is optimistic their association will continue to yield positive results.

He disclosed that AccpacAfrica has been supporting its partner in Nigeria in the area of training and technical support, and Multisoft_Consulting has a team of well trained staff - programmers, trained engineers and qualified accountants - who are able to develop the product line and implement the applications successfully.

According to him, one of the strengths of Accpac's range of products is that they are highly customisable.

In his speech, Tuoyo, a chartered accountant turned computer guru, said he has benefited immensely from his association with Accpac because it has exposed him to training in America and SA over the years, and has afforded him vast experience on the product line.

According to Tuoyo, Multisoft_Consulting has also developed its own human resource management software called VisualPayroll and VisualHuman Resource Manager, which is also a customised product for human asset management and monthly salary preparation. This product is entirely integrated into Accpac for the Nigerian market.

Tuoyo said the software is suitable for small to medium-sized organisations, local government councils, government departments and very large organisations that demand a product with complete functionality, including built-in "Ghost Name" buster.

According to Tuoyo, Accpac is already in several African countries but both companies are now making moves to break more ground in the continent with Accpac's full range of e-business products.
