ACCPAC takes Computer Faire visitors on a financial tour

Johannesburg, 06 May 2003

ACCPAC has announced that visitors to the ACCPAC stand (Hall 1 Stand B5-16) will be invited to take part in an "End-to-End Business Virtual Tour" of ACCPAC products.

Jeremy Waterman, MD of ACCPAC, says there will be six dedicated machines running ACCPAC software. Customers will begin their tour at the Webstore (eTransact) section, where orders can be placed. "From there we'll move them on to our point of sale (POS)/accounting section (ePOS and ACCPAC Advantage Series), where the Webstore will link up to Accounting," he says.

ePOS is ACCPAC's recently announced POS solution for fast-paced, high-volume, multi-site retail operations. With ePOS, and its integration with all retail technologies (including barcode scanners, real-time credit card processing, weigh scales, pole displays and more), users can further increase their check-out speed and accuracy while providing real-time integration and reporting across the enterprise.

Waterman says ePOS deploys via the Internet and offers retailers an easy-to-administer POS solution that scales to meet even the most complex demands of retail chains. It provides a complete view of the enterprise inventory, customer activities and store management. "I'll be interested to see viewer response to this product at the faire," he comments.

"From the Accounting section of the stand, users will move on to our warehousing division where ACCPAC's Warehouse Management system will be demonstrated. From there it'll be on to the Human Resources department (ACCPAC HR System) and finally on to the Sales department where ACCPAC's eCRM customer relationship management software will be showcased."

Further to the virtual tour, visitors to the stand will be able to view demonstrations of ACCPAC's third-party products, like Service Manager, COSS Manufacturing and ACCPAC Workflow. There will also be a section of the stand dedicated to Simply Accounting version 2003.

"On the Simply Accounting section of the stand, ACCPAC will demonstrate the new version 2003 of Simply Accounting Pro, as well as Vertebrea's Retail Manager for Simply Pro and the Spectrum Payroll for Simply Pro," says Waterman.

Simply Accounting 2003, the new version of its integrated accounting program for small businesses, gives these organisations a complete accounting system, and e-commerce features while Simply Accounting 2003 Pro version adds multi-user, multi-currency, bill of materials and time billing capabilities.

"Small businesses don't have the luxury of expensive consultants to explain or manage their accounting, or create a presence for them on the Internet. They need affordable software that's easy to use, accurate and gives them a clear picture of their business," he says. "We've designed Simply Accounting 2003 to be the best value accounting software for small businesses - a complete, secure accounting system that business owners can be confident in using day in and day out."

Visitors need only make their way to Hall 1, Stand B5 - 16 at the faire this year, to view the entire suite of ACCPAC offerings and can contact ann@accpac.co.za for more information.
