ACCPAC takes front stage with small businesses who use Microsoft SQL Server

Provides most cost-effective business management solution to fully address back-office needs of small companies that use popular Microsoft platform
Johannesburg, 02 Nov 2000

ACCPAC International, Inc., a division of Computer Associates' interBiz group, recently announced at the Information Technology Alliance Fall Conference 2000 that it has just released the most complete and cost-effective Microsoft SQL Server-based business management system to be offered by any major developer specifically for small businesses of two to 10 users. ACCPAC Small Business Series scales easily to accommodate rapid business growth and can be upgraded to the ACCPAC Corporate Series within hours to handle a virtually unlimited number of users.

The new ACCPAC Small Business Series release provides small to medium-size companies (SMEs) that run on Microsoft SQL Server with integrated enterprise-level functionality and e-business-ready accounting capabilities at a fraction of the cost of competing SQL server-based business management solutions for the same market. It offers most of the features and integration capabilities of the powerful ACCPAC Corporate Series 4.2, the company's market-leading business management software suite, while taking full advantage of the and scalability afforded by Microsoft SQL Server.

"Having the new ACCPAC Small Business Series designed to run on Microsoft SQL Server is a boon to our small business customers," said Steve Murchie, Microsoft group product manager for SQL Server. "This marriage of leading-edge database technology and business management software provides small businesses with a financial management solution that is secure, scalable and feature rich - at a highly affordable price."

"ACCPAC is responding to the needs of small businesses seeking a complete and affordable business management and e-business solution based on Microsoft SQL Server," said Jeremy Waterman, managing director of ACCPAC Africa. "Small businesses can now purchase a Microsoft SQL-based ACCPAC solution and enjoy complete investment as they expand into a larger enterprise."

ACCPAC Small Business Series for Microsoft SQL Server also includes new feature enhancements such as scheduling recurring transactions and other business tasks, and extended transactional drill-down capabilities, which enhance clients' analytical and audit capabilities. In addition, ACCPAC Small Business Series for Microsoft SQL Server will easily integrate with the ACCPAC eAdvantage Suite of e-business enabling solutions, including ACCPAC eTransact, the "business-to-everyone" web store solution.

ACCPAC Small Business Series for Microsoft SQL Server is available through ACCPAC Africa.
