Accsys, a national provider of HR and payroll management solutions, is supporting the Business Against Crime initiative.

It recently provided training facilities and catering for a six-day leadership development course, developed by Sims Khula Training, for police station managers of the South African Police Service (SAPS).

Attendees and training facilitators alike were impressed with the programme. Both Barbara Degenaar, training facilitator at Sims Khula Training, and Charl Whitehead, a captain at the Linden Police Station, gave positive feedback to the course.

Yvonne Pennington from Business Against Crime, which co-ordinates the programme, says "the roll-out of this training is dependent on sponsorship by businesses such as Accsys which so willingly made their facilities available to SAPS."

"Aside from our general support for this very worthwhile initiative, one that is in the interests of all members of the public, we also endorse any programme that is based on individual and group empowerment and development," says Teryl Schroenn, CEO at Accsys.
